A good all-round instrument with a healthy full sound
that will be ideal for any up and coming orchestral or jazz player.
This is a glorious looking viol-shaped instrument with back, ribs
and scroll made from well-selected maple that is characterized by
some simply gorgeous flaming.
There is a simple but pleasing geometric-loop design
in the purfilling just below the back button and the full outside
linings are original to the instrument. Also original to the instrument
are a set of quality brass half plates, each of which is engraved
by the makers name - Gebrüder Schuster.
With a warm golden-brown varnish over a yellow ground
contributing greatly to the timber spectacle this is a very visually
appealing instrument. Structural condition too can be described
as first class and a recently fitted new neck, fingerboard and a
tension freeing high bottom saddle contribute greatly to this being
a highly desirable instrument.
This for sure is a nicely proportioned, nicely presented
instrument that sounds great and feels good to play.
