Oct 2010. A job well done. Jerome Bruynooghe concentrating on the final few finishing touches to a "rebuild" that consumed over 400 hrs of his time.
The instrument is very early Venetian.
The
Contrabass Shoppe was delighted to sponsor Christopher Hunter's
performances of "The Double Bass" at the New End Theatre
in Hampstead, London during April 2011.
The tragic-comic one man play was written by Patrick Süskind
and is about an orchestral bass player in crisis. Something
that many of us can relate to!
The production was a near sell-out and received excellent critical
reviews.
Oct 2010. Visiting from France and hard at work are restorers Jerome Bruynooghe and Colin Margalhan-Ferrat. The brief was to set-up as many basses as possible. Mind those fingers Colin.

Holding Bosch's first two CD's are young talent Ruan Baartman

Bruynooghe (far left) from France.

Ljungberg from Sweden had his golden-amber Carbon Fibre Flight
Case dropped off at London Heathrow T3 - June 2010. Sven
bought and collected the case for his son. What a great Dad
to have! If you are at all worried about the
traffic warden - I'm pleased to say that this one was reasonably
friendly.
Not
